General Bookstore Refund Policy
Last day for a refund of Summer textbooks is June 20th, 2013. To prevent Spring textbook sales from falling under the Summer Refund time period, purchases made between May 11th and May 24th are only refundable if the Summer class schedule is provided.
- ALL REFUNDS REQUIRE THE ORIGINAL INTACT RECEIPT. Bank or credit card statements will not be accepted and we cannot look up past transaction information.
- All books must be returned in resalable condition per publisher standard (for new and rental books) and buyback standards (for used books).
- Sealed merchandise must be returned in the original, unbroken packaging with all labels intact and all merchandise must be returned in resalable condition.
- Clothing must be returned in new, saleable condition with original tags still attached.
- Refunds will be credited in the manner in which paid (exceptions: gift cards and gift certificates will be refunded as store credit).
- Exceptions to June 20th:
- Course cancelled by the college (proof required): return within one week from cancellation
- Late start classes (proof required): return books within two days of start date
- Non-text merchandise: return within two days of purchase
- We reserve the right to refuse a refund for any product.
The following items are NON RETURNABLE: Embroidered items, electronics, software, computer-related products, movie and bus passes, catalogs, study-aids, gift cards, bike cards, culinary utensils, headphones, E-books, and sale/clearance/”as is” items.
Online Order Refund Policy
All online purchases are subject to the regular guidelines above. The date the order was processed will be considered the purchase date for return purposes. The shipping fee is non refundable.
- Cancellations must be made in writing by sending an email to ccrocker@santarosa.edu. Please address the subject matter as Online Orders and include your order number and name.
- IMPORTANT: Picking up online purchases is the customer's responsibility. Orders processed before the semester begins will be shelved without a refund if they have not been picked up by June 27th. Orders processed after the first week of classes will be held for one week and then shelved without a refund.
- The return shipping fee is the responsibility of the customer. The SRJC Bookstore is not responsible for returned merchandise that was lost or damaged during shipping. The best way to return merchandise is to ship it through an insured carrier (UPS or Fed-Ex).
