Bookstore Refund Policy
 

  • ALL REFUNDS REQUIRE AN VALID (Not defaced, altered, mutilated, or missing any information) ORIGINAL REGISTER RECEIPT. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please retain your receipt.
  • NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN ON TEXTBOOKS THE LAST TWO WEEKS OF EVERY SEMESTER. NO EXCEPTIONS. For all other merchandise, returns must be made within two business days of purchase.
  • Refunds will be issued in the same tender as the original purchase. If you paid with a credit card, then credit will be issued to the same credit card only.
  • New books must be returned in new, original, resellable condition per publisher standards (no writing, no bent corners, no creased covers, no soiled edges). New books not meeting publisher standards will be credited at a reduced price. No refunds on course readers or looseleaf books. 
  • After the first week of classes, refunds will only be issued in the following cases and will be subject to a 10% restocking fee: 1) The course is dropped in January (books must be returned within 3 days of the official drop and official proof of the drop is required). 2) The course is cancelled by the college (official proof required). 3) The textbook required for the course is changed by the instructor (the bookstore must have notification from the instructor that this has occured).
  • Refunds will be allowed on non-text merchandise and late starting classes within two days of purchase (10% restock fee does not apply).
  • Shrinkwrapped packages must be returned in the original, unbroken shrinkwrap with all labels intact. Selected packages can only be returned with their labels on package.
  • Opened access codes, whether purchased alone or as part of a bundle, are NON RETURNABLE. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • No cash refunds on government sponsored programs.
  • The following items are NON RETURNABLE: Opened access codes, bus passes, movie passes, electronics, software, computer-related products, catalogs, schedules, study aids, and sale items.


Online Purchases Refund Policy
    

 

  All online purchases are subject the regular return guidelines above. The date the order was received by a person at the customer's address will be considered the purchase date for return purposes. The shipping fee is not refundable. Returns of merchandise purchased online must be shipped on or before the return deadline as stated on the receipt and are subject to the regular return guidelines above.   • Please carefully read the return policy attached to your receipt.
  • Cancellations of online orders MUST be made in writing by sending an email to ccrocker@santarosa.edu. Please include your order number, your name, the date of the order, and the reason for cancellation. Please retain a copy of this email for your records.
  • Picking up online purchases is the customer's responsibility. The Bookstore is not responsible for purchases not picked up within 30 days of order. Purchases not picked up within 30 days are non-returnable. No exceptions.
  • The return shipping fee is the responsibility of the customer. The SRJC Bookstore is not responsible for lost or damaged returned merchandise. This means you need to write the return address clearly, insure your return and pack it well. Please ship all returns to the SRJC Bookstore via UPS or Fed Ex.
